We start 2017 with three new choral scores by J Josep Vila i Casañas, who is an indisputable reference for the choral conduction in Catalonia and Spain. He also is composer of the most performed choral works here and around the world.
These three new editions are the Sanctus-Benedictus (Missa for double choir) that is a work completed in 2014 and premiered in 2015 at the Auditori from Barcelona by the Lieder Càmera Choir. Thi second work is Devouring time, an extradionary work a cappella for mixed choir and solo vocal quartet on the sonnet XIX of William Shakespeare.
Finally the third work is the Victimae paschali laudes sequence for mixed choir, choir of white voices, mezzosoprano and baritone solistes that was devoted to Mireia Barrera and the Madrigal Choir to concern to its 30 anniversary.
The publication of these three works is the begining of the Josep Vila and FICTA's collaboration that will lead us to publish much more choral music of this composer who is loved for children's choirs, young people and adults from all over the world.
The next titles we will publish will be: El Mirador, In paradisum, Te Deum, Veni Creator and other works that will be written by order of the Federation of Corals Joves de Catalunya on texts by Miquel Desclot and Petrarca-Desclot: Cançó de l'aviador and Madrigal.
